Tomorrow is the official end of the One Pebble Project. It has been an amazing experience receiving beautiful pebbles and letters from around the country and world. Thank you all for enriching my life!

If you have pebbles you’ve been meaning to send don’t fret! Send them within the month of September and you’ll still get a free ACEO.

More than a Pebble

I love surprises!! My friend Jeanne (a.k.a. Harlan) has a such a good heart. I recently purchased the Extremely Expensive Cat Toy Kit from her Etsy shop. Included with my order was this amazing beauty of a rock!

To give you an idea of its size, I photographed it with one of my scrabble tile pendants. Can you see the reddish square? I like to think of it has a little red square heart. Geology is amazing! (I know I said that in the last post, but it’s so true!)

I don’t know if Jeanne meant for this rock to be included in the One Pebble Project, but it certainly is now. Thank you so much, Jeanne! I’ll be sending you an ACEO this week!

Pebbles from the Treasured State

As the end of the One Pebble Project approaches each new delivery is a cherished gift. The latest pebbles to arrive journeyed all the way from Montana! I apologize for the bland photograph taken from my iPhone (my camera is traveling in Costa Rica with my brother). What you can’t see well are the crystals jutting from the pebble on the left. Geology is amazing! These pebbles remind me of some of the rocks in Yellowstone (only a 3 hour drive SE).

From the Shores of the Coeur d’Alene

Coeur d’Alene is a lake in northwest Idaho, spanning 25 miles, and now I have a little piece of its beauty!

WOW!!!

Since this is a lake pebble I thought it only right to take some photos when it was wet too:

Gorgeous, isn’t it? I received this lovely pebble from Sarah at Cottage Garden Studios. She creates the most magical drawings in pen and ink, and colored pencil. And now I own one of her magical works of art! Sarah send me my very own ATC!

Sarah didn’t know at the time, but my Chinese birth sign is the dragon. I LOVE it! Thank you so much, Sarah! Your ATC will be on its way to you soon!!

I don’t always paint pebbles from life. Sometimes I like to let my imagination have free reign. I like to watch the water and paint flow, creating something out of nothing. The first pebble has arrived!

This little tumbled beauty came to me from an artist friend, Gillian, in Indiana. I love the layers of color in this stone. Here’s another view:

I love it!! But what I love even more, is the fact that Gillian gave me a pebble from her very own collection. This is one of her favorite pebbles. And now, it is my favorite too. Thank you so much, Gillian!!! I’m painting a special ACEO just for you and will be mailing this week.
